photography for life's greatest moments
"Hello and welcome to my photography portfolio. My name is Ben, and I'm a photographer based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. I'm also currently an undergrad student at the University of Minnesota. I've been passionate about photography for as long as I can remember, and I've been fortunate enough to live out my hobby every day. I hope you enjoy my portfolio!
The first subject of my portfolio is someone very important to me. Its my girlfriend's dog named Winston!
As you can see he is an elegant creature. A very very good boy who has mastered what we call in contemporary art, the "lightskin face".
As you can see I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world and then print images with a focus on the magic I find in daily life. My pictures tell my stories. Here Winston is seen wearing a designer Birthday hat branded "Party City".
Lastly, you can see he isn't always as elegant as he seems, Its hard to maintain that kind of posture on a consistent basis. People have their bad days every once in a while and its ok. Here he is biting my finger, but he soon stopped after I offered him 3 ice cubes.
We are here to help you make lasting memories. I capture moments that you will never forget. This picture captures the youthfulness and illustrious soul of Winston as a pup. All Glory to God!
An image of some bouquets I masterfully constructed for my, Girlfriend. (Honestly, if I wasn't So talented at photography I would do this instead) Always good to have a backup plan!
This is an Image of some corndogs I got from a place in Dinkytown called "Cruncheese". It was delicious, but they're mad stingy on the sauce.
An image showing the unhealthy amount of Bananas my roommates and I go through in a week.
Bro got a tight fro!
Stop looking at me like that! ;]
Hmmm... Lemon water
That boy a Munch!
The Birds are paid actors(esses).
Some heart-shaped pizza me n' my baby made. <3
This is a big-ass Polar Bear I saw while at a museum. Homie looks mad goofy. I want whatever he's on. :)
This is another work I saw at a museum (if you can't tell I like museums). Just thought I'd add it cuz he reminds me of Eddie Munson from Stranger Things.
Was walking to class one day and was baffled by whoever was walking ahead of me. Imagine this guy stepping on your toes! Ouch!
Lowkey sad I passed up on this absolute drip. That boy looks like he finna hit someone with a mean crossover.
NGL this cloud had me feeling some type of way. The way it's just sitting there alone, isolated from all of the other clouds, not too low, but not too high either; a picturesque metaphor for how we as humans can feel so alone and unwanted in life, but still admired from afar by those we might not even know.
The final picture from my portfolio is one I like to call "Reverse POV". It is a piece that shows the POV slightly lifted off of the nose. As you can see it creates some interesting shots.
